Lisa Sailer (she/her) is a violist and certified Alexander Technique teacher living in Providence, RI.  She received her BM in violin performance from SUNY Purchase, and her MM in viola performance as well as her Alexander Technique teaching certification from The Boston Conservatory.  She has received her Level 2 endorsement from the Paul Rolland String Pedagogy Society. Her current musical roles include directing all of the orchestras in the Daily Orchestra Program at Community MusicWorks, teaching private violin/viola/cello lessons, and performing alongside her fantastic colleagues. She teaches Alexander Technique privately in Providence, RI as well as online. Lisa was a Teaching Artist Fellow in the Massachusetts Cultural Council’s META (Music Teachers/Teaching Artists) Fellowship from 2016-2018. She has been a guest Alexander Technique teacher and Teaching Assistant at the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music in New Hampshire, and has run Alexander Technique for Teachers workshops in Boston, MA and Juneau, Alaska. Other recent Alexander Technique workshops have been at the Boston Violin Intensive, Brown University, University of Central Florida, and the MLK Community Center in Newport, RI.

In her spare time, Lisa loves baking pastries and sourdough, training her cats to do tricks, and being a real-life Ms. Frizzle..
